I hope you are all well, I think the Sons of Norway scholarships and grants are a great opportunity for members and nonmembers of all ages. The attachments contain information on scholarships and grants. One new item is a scholarship from the 6th District that will be active in 2022. I have invited the Foundation Development Director to speak when she is in town next year. The key is to submit applications for scholarships and grants now.
Below are paragraphs providing information about scholarships and grants. Anybody who wishes to contribute to the 6th District scholarship should please let me know.
For those who wish to help the foundation there are positions open for Foundation Board of Governors through the end of the year. If that is too much commitment, the foundation is looking for scholarship judges and lodge foundation leaders.
Please help me spread the word that these opportunities are available and applications are made directly to the foundation for grants and scholarships. Your chances of success are very good!

Scholarships
Autumn is a good time to think about applying for scholarships. Applications for scholarships involving international travel are due on January 15, and other applications are due on March 1. Information about scholarships is available on the Sons of Norway website at https://www.sofn.com/foundation/scholarships/. Many Sons of Norway members fail to realize the benefits available from the Foundation. By investigating what is available, you will be at an advantage for receiving some of these benefits.
Grants
Grants are available for empowering youth, supporting Nordic cultural projects throughout our communities, and providing disaster relief to members. Those of you who are familiar with the procedure for getting grants may want to visit the grant portal. We also have required information for a Lodge Vitality Grant for Calendar Year 2023.
